Global law firm Baker McKenzie is expanding into Palo Alto and Monterey.
Hugo Lopez Miranda joins Baker McKenzie as a partner in the Monterey office.
He has more than 15 years of experience practicing international trade law and will focus on litigation matters involving tax and customs duties.
Hugo Lopez Miranda will be assisting in the following areas
In addition to tax and customs litigation matters, he will assist clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing,
transportation, and compliance issues. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and is licensed to practice law in Mexico.
She will be supported in the Johannesburg office by Michelle Porter-Wright and Rebecca Thompson.

Michelle Potter-Wright was a partner at Baker McKenzie until 2017 and has been a director of A&O Shearman since 2017.
She specializes in construction disputes and international arbitration and has been involved in some of the world’s largest projects.
She has worked on a wide range of clients’ matters and is highly regarded in the field of construction disputes.
